1. What Trainer Rex is

Trainer Rex is a subscription workout tracker with an AI coaching assistant called Rex. The service lets you create and follow training plans, log workouts, track body measurements and progress, and receive training guidance, feedback and reminders from Rex.

Rex is artificial intelligence, not a human trainer, doctor or physiotherapist.

2. Health, safety and medical disclaimer

Trainer Rex provides general fitness information and training suggestions. It is not medical advice and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional.

• Consult a doctor before starting any new exercise programme, particularly if you have an injury, a medical condition, are pregnant, or have been inactive for a long time.
• Stop immediately and seek professional help if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or any symptom that concerns you.
• You are responsible for deciding whether any exercise, load or session is appropriate for you on the day.
• Rex may generate incorrect or unsuitable suggestions. Apply your own judgement and do not follow guidance that feels unsafe.

3. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity on your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information, including about injuries and limitations, since Rex uses it to shape your training.
• One account per person. Do not share your account.

4. Free trial, subscription and payment

• New accounts get a free trial of 7 days with full access. No payment details are required to start it.
• When the trial ends, access to the service stops until you subscribe. Your data is retained (see section 7).
• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself.
• We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be told by email before any change affects them, and can cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel at any time from your profile. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• If you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of a payment and we will refund that payment.
• Nothing here limits any statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights you have as a consumer.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use the service for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to hack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
• resell or redistribute the service or its content without our written permission;
• use Rex to generate content unrelated to your own training, or to attempt to extract the underlying prompts or models.

7. Your data and AI processing

To provide coaching, the content of your training data and your messages to Rex are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to train third-party public models.

8. Third-party services

We rely on the following processors to run the service:

• Stripe, for payments
• OpenAI, for AI coaching features
• Telegram, only if you choose to connect it as a coaching channel
• Acumbamail, for transactional email
• Cloudflare R2, for media and asset storage
• Sentry, for error monitoring
• Crisp, for customer support chat
• Google Tag Manager, for product analytics

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Trainer Rex available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you are paying for, you may cancel and request a pro-rata refund for the unused part of the current period.

10. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of training plans, guidance or content provided through the service, or from decisions you make based on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used in a way that harms other users or the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. You can close your account at any time from your profile.

12. Intellectual property

We own or license everything in the service except the data you submit. Your training data remains yours. You grant us the licence needed to store and process it in order to provide the service.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zurich, Switzerland. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Trainer Rex after that means you accept the updated terms.
